Switzerland's largest city is no longer the boring capital of banking. It is a cosmopolitan city that combines a life full of excitement with nature. Today, the biggest street parties are held here. The first impression of a small, clean and orderly town with a church above the crystal surface of the lake is pleasant. Then you join the relaxed crowds on Niederdorfstrasse, and the hedonism of the city washes over you.
Geneva is the second-most populous city in Switzerland (after Zürich) and the most populous city of Romandy, the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Geneva is a global city, a financial centre, and a worldwide centre for diplomacy due to the presence of numerous international organizations, including the headquarters of many agencies of the United Nations and the Red Cross.

Meet your tour guide at the hotel and visit the city centre of Geneva starting at the vibrant Geneva Flower Clock and walk around beautiful gardens and the equally impressive Geneva Fountain (Jet d’Eau). We can take a tram ride through the ambient tangle of city streets. the surface of Lake Geneva, widely considered Europe’s most beautiful lake. We will visit Saint Peter’s cathedral, Place Bourg-de-four, the original marketplace, the arsenal and the town hall. This sightseeing tour makes you discover Geneva’s most famous attractions, including the iconic Flower Clock, the symbol of the city's watchmakers and love for nature, and the impressive fountain, Jet d’Eau.
Today we will cross the border into France, admire the views as we wind through the Alps, and look out for the first sighting of Mont Blanc as you arrive in Chamonix. We will spend the day at your leisure in Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc. Options include a cable car ride to the summit of Aiguille du Midi; a cogwheel railway ride to Montenvers, where we can look out over the glaciers of Mer de Glace.
Meet your guide at the hotel and visit Switzerland's largest body of water though most of its southern shore lies within France. A crescent of blue hemmed in by the snowy peaks of the French and Swiss Alps, Lake Geneva is a year-round hotspot for outdoor activities or we can explore lakeside landmarks such as the medieval bastion of Chillon Castle. We can also get to the GoldenPass Panoramic train into the Swiss Alps, take a Geneva sightseeing tour, or hop over the French border to explore Annecy, Chamonix, or Mont Blanc.
As Switzerland is famous for its high-quality chocolate today we will visit the Maison Cailler Chocolaterie where we can taste, touch, smell, and see all stages of chocolate making. It’s also a chance to learn about the history of chocolate production. We can either visit the chocolate independently or join a guided tour with stops at other regional attractions, including wine- and cheese-related destinations.
