After your arrival to the capital city of Slovenia our driver will take you to the hotel. Afternoon you will meet your guide and we will explore the beauty of Ljubljana together.
After breakfast we will travel to Soča, an amazing and unique place. The main travel will be by bus, train or car.
The emerald green river Soča is considered one of the most beautiful and best preserved alpine rivers in Europe. It stretches from Triglav National Park to Nová Gorica. It's a great place if you like extreme sports. Rafting, kayaking, canyoning, paragliding, climbing or ziplining. Which one will you choose? If that seems a little too much adrenaline for you, you can simply go for a walk through the beautiful countryside that surrounds this region. Kilometers of hiking or riding trails and even fishing spots are at your disposal. You may know that one of the biggest battles during the Second World War took place in this valley. The history of the front is presented by the Kobarid Museum, which includes thematic rooms with photos, maps and multimedia exhibits.
Next day after breakfast we will be on the way again. This time we will meet National Park in Slovenia. Amazing place.
Mount Triglav (2864 m) located in the national park of the same name is the highest mountain in Slovenia. There are up to twenty different routes to get to its top. For the less experienced, it is best to take the route from the Pokljuka Plateau southwest of the Bled River. Good climbers could make the trip up and back in twelve hours, but it's better to spend the night in one of the two mountain huts close to the summit. If you want to do the whole route, it is definitely safer to hire a guide. If just walking through the beautiful nature is enough for you, then Triglav National Park will also have something for you. And in order not to be deprived of great views, try the Vogel cable car trip. The adventurous can test their mettle on Vintgar Gorge's 19th-century wooden footbridge or climb the steep staircase to see the roaring Savica waterfall.
Slovenia's number 1 tourist destination, Lake Bled, is simply a magical place. People come here to admire the amazing view of the lake and the small church built on an island in the middle of the lake. Mild thermal springs heat the water to 26 degrees, so you can swim in it until autumn. Natural swimming pools have been created on the northern and western banks. Behind it stands the Gothic Bled Castle, standing on the edge of the cliff. The medieval fortress is characterized by towers, walls and a terrace with a wonderful view. In the baroque southern wing there is a museum collection documenting the history of the lake. The terrace of the sought-after castle restaurant offers a view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. It is a great place for a more active vacation - cycling, canoeing and classic hiking. You can even get on the cable car and ride to the top of the Straža ski slope and go down from there - it's a great adrenaline experience.
Next day after breakfast we will be on the way again to see magical caves system in Škocjan. The main travel will be by train, bus or car.
This underground cave system is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and includes one of the largest caves in Europe. The caves are full of stunning stalactites and stalagmites and have become home to 15 species of bats. The system is almost six kilometers long and 250 meters high. While walking through its bowels, you might feel like you are reading Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth. One of the highlights of the trip is crossing the Cerkevnik bridge, which is located at a height of approximately 45 meters. The walking tour takes 90 minutes to two hours, the temperature in the caves is stable around 12 degrees Celsius, so don't forget to dress well.
