Overview

Madrid is located by the Manzanares River in the centre of Spain. In Madrid, only a very small part of medieval architecture has been preserved, mostly in the centre of Almendra, including the churches of San Nicolás and San Pedro el Viejo, the church of St. Jerome and the bishop's chapel. Many of Madrid's historic buildings date back to the Spanish Golden Age.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Our driver will meet you at the airport in Madrid and take you to the hotel. Our guide team will meet you later afternoon, and we will make a small city tour, including an amazing food tasting.

After breakfast we will start to explore the city. We will visit places such as El Prado, Kings palace in Madrid, stadion Santiago Bernabeu or plaza Mayor.Cibeles Square is located at the intersection of Alcala Street, Paseo de Recoletos, Paseo del Prado. This place, one of the most famous places in the capital, divides the district boundaries of Centro, Retiro and Salamanca. In the centre of the square is the famous Cibeles fountain, carved in 1782. Madrid offers many amazing places and historical buildings. Evening time we will spend on a great dinner with amazing local food tasting.

After breakfast we will have a short travel by train. El Escorial is the historical residence of the King of Spain, located in the village of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. In the past, this place served as a monastery, basilica, royal palace, pantheon, library, museum, university, school and hospital. El Escorial consists of two architectural complexes of great historical and cultural importance. The royal monastery itself and La Granjilla de La Fresneda, the royal hunting lodge, are about five kilometres away.

After breakfast, we will travel 2 hours by train to full - a day trip in Salamanca. Salamanca is a city in northwestern Spain and is also the capital of the province of Salamanca. The city is located on several hills by the river Tormes. Its Old Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. In 2002, Salamanca received the title of European Capital of Culture together with the city of Bruges.

Toledo is known as an imperial city because it was the main seat of the court of Charles V, the Roman emperor, and as a city of three cultures because of the cultural influences of Christians, Muslims and Jews reflected in its history. Toledo has a long history of making upholstered arms, which are popular souvenirs of the city today. The gastronomy of the city of Toledo is linked to Castile La Mancha, which is well known for its traditions and is closely associated with hunting and grazing. Many recipes are the result of a combination of Moorish and Christian influences.

After breakfast will our driver take you to the airport. We are looking forward to seeing you on another amazing trip.
