Our guide will meet at a prearranged location in Bratislava or Vienna. We will go to the hotel first where you can prepare for the first day in National Park Little Fatra. First day will be full of history about Terchová, which is a very unique city. Birthplace of Juraj Jánošík, Slovakian most famous bandit and hero. Day will be full of wildlife and breathe the fresh air when walking on the trail which is secured by wooden and iron ladders, chains or grates.
Don't let the name fool you. The National park of Little Fatra is one of the 9 parks in Slovakia. Our first hike will be to the Snilovské saddle which is the starting point of the mountain tour in Little Fatra. Best and most beautiful place to see are Chleb, Hromové Saddle, Poludňový Grúň and the biggest and monumental Veľký Kriváň which is highest peak of this national park.
After breakfast you will be able to see one of the most beautiful caves in the world named Demänovská Cave of Liberty. Thanks to its spectacular dripstone decorations this cave belongs to the most beautiful caves in Europe. A rich complex of stalactites and stalagmites together with little karst lakes creates an ideal environment for bats. Trip will continue to the National Park of High Tatras. the highest mountain range within the Carpathians! Every year thousands of hikers visit the High Tatras to challenge themselves on the peaks higher than 2500 m.Take a walk around the huge glacial Štrbské Lake or visit Lakes of Love before we get back to the minivan and continue to the village of Tatranská Lomnica.
Don't worry, the name is correct. One of the National parks is named Slovak Paradise. When you will see this beauty of nature you will truly understand the name. A huge area of undiscovered wilderness between the rivers Hornád and Hnilec contains an incredible number of creeks that formed gorges with waterfalls and a large spectrum of underground caves. Slovak Paradise is a home of various animal species such as falcons, squirrels, bears, foxes or otters and rare flowers attracting colorful butterflies.
